A locksmith website built by locksmiths.
We run SB Locksmith in Melbourne. Everything on this page comes from working the phones at 11pm, not from a marketing course — and the site our own business runs on was the first one we ever built.
What locksmiths tell us
- Half your revenue arrives between 8pm and 6am, from somebody standing in the cold who rings whoever answers first.
- Every lockout call starts with fifteen minutes of "how much" before anyone gets in the ute.
- The commercial work — master keys, restricted systems, shopfitters — pays properly and your site never mentions it.
- Directory sites outrank you for your own suburb and then sell you back the lead.
How we build for locksmiths
Locksmiths ask us this
How do I get more after-hours lockout calls?
Three things, in this order: a Google Business Profile that says you are open 24 hours and is actually answered, one emergency button above everything else on your site, and an honest callout fee published next to it. The fee is the counter-intuitive one — publishing it loses you the price shoppers and wins you the people who just want it sorted.
Should I publish my callout fee?
Yes. Every locksmith we know worries it scares people off, and every locksmith who has done it says the same thing: the calls got fewer and better. The person who rings after reading the fee has already accepted it, so the conversation starts at 'when can you get here' instead of 'how much'.
Can a website bring in commercial locksmith work?
It can, but not the same way it brings emergency work. Commercial buyers — strata managers, shopfitters, facility managers — search during business hours, compare two or three options and want to see that you have done it before. That needs its own page with real examples, not a line on your home page.
Do you actually run a locksmith business?
Yes — SB Locksmith in Melbourne. It is the first site we built and it runs our own quoting and booking. That is the whole reason this studio exists: we built the thing we needed, then found other trades needed it too.
Ready to get more locksmiths work?
Tell us where you work and what you want more of. You get a fixed quote back within one business day — and if we are not the right fit for your business, we will say so.
